Greg Boyle’s journey in Plant City began when he arrived as a young boy. Growing up in a middle income family, he attended our local schools and played in the same neighborhoods he now seeks to represent. Those early years instilled in him the values that define our town: hard work, integrity, and the belief that we look out for one another.
From a young age, Greg didn’t just see problems he looked for ways to fix them. Whether it was helping a neighbor with a broken fence or assisting a friend with a school project, he developed a drive to step up whenever something needed to be done.
What started as a teenage hobby helping family members and neighbors troubleshoot computer issues quickly evolved into a dedicated career. By the time Greg reached adulthood, he had already built a reputation as the person people relied on in stressful moments.
Today, Greg brings over ten years of hands-on experience in Information Technology, cybersecurity, and customer support to the table. In his professional life, he manages the systems that keep people safe and connected in an increasingly digital world.
Why this matters for Plant City:
Project Estimation Expertise: Greg has extensive experience in project management and estimation. He knows how to evaluate a plan, identify hidden costs, and ensure that projects are delivered efficiently.
A "Security-First" Mindset: His background in cybersecurity means he approaches every challenge with an eye toward safety, stability, and long-term protection.
Calm Leadership: In IT support, you have to be the voice of reason during a crisis. Greg brings that same steady, analytical guidance to the complex issues facing our City Commission.
Greg’s commitment to service started long before he considered public office. He believes that a leader should be active on the ground, not just behind a desk.
Supporting Local Animal Services: Greg has spent time volunteering with Hillsborough County Animal Services, assisting with initiatives to help protect vulnerable animals and support local adoption efforts.
Direct Outreach: He has worked directly with the local homeless population, providing food, supplies, and a helping hand to neighbors going through their most difficult times.
Civic Accountability: Whether it’s reporting environmental pollution at a local park or flagging infrastructure concerns, Greg has been an active voice for improving our city’s quality of life long before seeking office.
Greg has watched as rapid development has strained our roads, our infrastructure, and our essential services. He has seen the cost of living rise while many residents feel their voices are being drowned out.
Greg Boyle is not a career politician. He is a resident who grew up here, a professional problem solver, and a neighbor who believes deeply in accountability. He is ready to bring fresh energy and a community-first mindset to ensure that as Plant City grows, it stays the special place we all call home.
